This morning I woke up with one thing on my mind. Pancakes!
Unfortunately, Chris woke up with waffles on the mind.
What to do, what to do?
How about have the best of both worlds and make panwaffles?
We purchased this awesome pan from Williams Sonoma a few years ago that makes pancakes that have the same crevices as waffles.
Brilliant.
This morning I used Hodgson Mill’s Whole Wheat Buttermilk pancake mix.
I was not really in the mood to make pancakes from scratch this morning. It’s so easy to just add milk, oil, and an egg!
In case you’re wondering, I use a wooden skewer to flip the panwaffles.
Like so.
The first batch came out much lighter than the second batch.
I prefer my panwaffles well done!
Good thing Chris doesn’t really have a preference as I took most of the brown & crispy ones.
And then I made a tower of panwaffles!
With alternating layers of strawberries & peanut butter, and banana slices & peanut butter.
And topped off with a sprinkle of shredded coconut.![]()
Mmmmmmmmmmmmm…..
Was all I could say after every bite.
You should really invest in a panwaffle pan.
It’s worth it, I promise.
Can anyone tell which strawberries are from a local farm and which were shipped in from California and purchased at the grocery store?
I mean, it’s pretty easy to tell the difference. Not to mention how different the taste is! I love me some fresh, organic, local strawberries

Last night Chris and I met our friends Kate & Roger for sushi at Sushi Love.
We began with edamame.
And wine.
And then I was enjoying chit chatting with our friends so much that I completely forgot to take a photo of the sushi!
But that’s ok because I’ve been to and blogged about sushi love several times before.

And now I’m off to swim a few laps before the pool gets too crowded with sunbathers. I will probably be one of them in a few hours :)
Lastly, I want to congratulate our good friends Ashley & Matt who had their baby, Emily Jane, earlier this morning! We’re so happy for them!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Your photos of the panwaffles are so professional looking!! Did you get a new cammie without telling me??!!
I love my panwaffle pan! I should break that out again!
Oh. My. Gosh. Your panwaffles just put my Saturday brunch to shame. Which was coffee and toast.
I just found your blog and something tells me I’ll be returning often. Probably when hungry.
Coffee and toast is never a bad breakfast! :)
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you come back!
I think I have died and gone to heaven just by looking at these pictures. I want to frame them. AMAZING!
Panwaffles look great! I have never had them before, yum!
That pan IS brilliant! I think I know what I’m asking for from my parents as a graduation present…
This is such a cool idea! I love pancakes and waffles, combined must be amazing! Love the pictures
Those panwaffles look AMAZING! And I do love that mix :) So good, and so easy.
Congrats to your friends!
Nothing tastes better than real strawberries. Red all the way through. People at the grocery store give me strange looks because I don’t buy the strawberries unless they smell sweet. Guess we
will have to invest in a panwaffle. That stack
sure looked good. We had our usual waffles this morning. I’m out with the ladies again this evening, going to have eggpland rollatini.
I never knew such a pancake.waffle maker existed!
And thanks to your pictures of the tower of panwaffles, I don’t need to wonder what heaven looks like anymore because there it is.
Ha! You are too funny :)
What a great pan! Those look like such fun to make and to eat! I am really looking forward to the really sweet strawberries we get in the summer. Ours aren’t quite there yet, but summer is on its way!
I have always wanted to try panwaffles! How much did that pan cost you?
PANWAFFLES! How amazing… I can’t believe I have never heard of this before. Must investigate.
Ooh…it all looks so yummy:)
Those. waffles. look. soooooo delicious.
I now honestly have the biggest craving for fresh, home-made waffles with lots of peanut butter and fresh strawberries :)
Luckily, i’ll be home in just a few days so I may actually be able to make this dream come true ;) hahaha
Wow, panwaffles! I never knew they existed, so cute!
Love that big stack! Fun breakfast!
I’m not sure what I luv more: the pan or your creative tower!! Also, you’ve given me a great idea for a father’s day gift. My dad would enjoy the panwaffle pan. Thanks, Laurie
That looks like the greatest breakfast of champions!
