Forgive me for waiting yet another several days to post, but I up until last night I was recovering from an awesome weekend bachelorette party in NYC. Do you guys even remember what I look like? I’m all the way to the right :)IMG_4596 I arrived on Friday night and we all enjoyed a nice BBQ and some cocktails on the outside deck. While I wasn’t able to capture a photo of the food we had:

  • BBQ chicken
  • Steak
  • Salad
  • Grilled vegetables
  • Corn on the cob
  • Rolls

Yay for healthy! I helped myself to a little bit of everything and consumed a little too much white wine :) We were celebrating though! The rest of the night is to be kept a secret.

On Saturday morning we indulged in humongous bagels and cream cheese, and then some of us walked off our hangovers along the Hudson River.IMG_4586 If only our photographer (a ten year old boy) had moved the camera a little to the left you would have been able to see the Statue of Liberty.

After our walk we made ourselves look presentable and then took a cab to Central Park for a little picnic.IMG_4594While the forecast was for rain we were thrilled that it held off. Such a nice relaxing afternoon.

And the food was phenomenal!IMG_4587 In addition to mimosas, there was incredibly fresh fruit salad.IMG_4588 An assortment of wraps.IMG_4589 IMG_4591 And the best orzo salad ever!IMG_4592I had a tuna salad wrap as well as some fruit salad and orzo. Oh, plus two mimosas :)

It wasn’t long after we went back to the apartment to shower that we popped open more champagne!IMG_4598 Oh man…I have a headache just thinking about it.

Typical bachelorette festivities ensued and we tried to embarrass the bride-to-be as much as possible.IMG_4600 She loved it though.

Dinner on Saturday night was a huge feast at Centrico, a Mexican restaurant located in the heart of Tribeca.

And I mean HUGE feast.

Just take a look.

First we started with margaritas. IMG_4613 Clearly.

Followed by chips and guacamole.IMG_4611 I had more than my fair share.

Next was family style appetizers.IMG_4614 Starting with assorted ceviches that came with plantain and yucca chips. The tuna ceviches was out of this world!

Then came tostadas de Jaiba.IMG_4615Which was lump crab meat, herbs, and chipotle lime aioli. With a jalapeno on top!

The final appetizer was vegetable quesadillas.IMG_4616With roasted tomatillo salsa on top.

For my entree I had the braised short ribs in an ancho chile broth.IMG_4617They practically melted in my mouth! I left a few bites in the bowl to save room for dessert.IMG_4618 Flan de coco. I have never tried this before and it was delicious! But after two margaritas and all that other food I was only able to enjoy a few bites. I’m pretty sure I would have burst had I eaten the entire plate.

After dinner we let the good times roll at a swanky nightclub called Tenjune. A friend who works for Absolut Vokda was able to hook us up with a table and bottle service.IMG_4621Sweet!

Then we proceeded to dance the night away.IMG_4623 I think. I can’t really remember.

Just kidding! I remember most of the night :)

So now you can see why I needed to recover, huh?

A weekend in NYC takes a lot out of me! I honestly don’t know how people live there. Really.

In other news -

Chris and I began our house hunting process last week and saw over 20 houses between Wednesday and Thursday. Holy exhausting!

After narrowing the list down to our favorites we may be ready to put in an offer soon. So exciting!

And one more note -

I just wanted to thank you guys yet again for bearing with me during this hectic yet exciting time in my life. Once we settle down in the next month I will be back to my regular posts. And trust me, things are about to get very exciting! So stay tuned for the next week or so :)

Happy Tuesday!
