Well hello!
I was a bit slammed this morning and apologize for keeping you all waiting :) I mean, hopefully some of you were actually waiting?
So yesterday I received a packages of goodies from Nature’s Path! Thanks Kari!
I love Nature’s Path Flax plus cereal, and the other weekend when I was in Philly, I tried the pumpkin granola, which I loved! So I was more than excited when Kari asked if I wanted to try a few other products.
Nature’s Path is passionate about growing organic, healthy foods in a sustainable way, and they pride themselves on creating delicious, exciting foods. Love it. Nature’s Path is definitely a brand that I trust.
Here are a few more tidbits about Nature’s Path.
We are fiercely independent: Arran and Ratana built this family company from the fertile, organic ground up. We haven’t “sold out”—and we don’t intend to.
- We make organic food because we believe deeply in sustainability: Arran grew up hearing his father say these words often “Always leave the soil better than you found it.” It’s become one of our guiding principles, and it affects every element of our business today.
- We are creative and a little quirky: We belly dance at work. We spend break time digging in the corporate garden. We sing in meetings. A lot.
- We believe in humanity: We believe if you treat people well, they will treat you well in return. So that’s how we lead our lives and run our business. Our people seem pretty happy with that.
- We really, really love food: seriously. We bake in our spare time. We spend our winters dreaming up all the wonderful recipes we’re going to cook up with our summer gardens. We like to stop by the test kitchen—often. And we can’t stop snacking on cereal and granola bars and toaster pastries around here. You’re welcome to come by and try some.
And here were the goods.

Flax Plus pumpkin raisin crunch and red berry crunch cereals.

Pomegranate Plus granola and Flax Plus pumpkin granola (yum!!!)

And Agave Plus granola!
What did I try first?

Pomegranate Plus granola with cherries!
”Rolled oats and nuggets of brown rice flour sweetened with pomegranate juice and tossed with sour cherries; low-sodium.”
Underneath the granola is a single container of plain Oikos.

This granola is 250 calories per 3/4 cup and has 4g of fiber, 5 g of protein, and 13g of sugar.
Because there was more sugar in this granola than there usually is in my cereal or oats, I used plain Oikos rather than vanilla to cut down on the sugar.
Even though you can’t really see all the little cherries, there were a lot of them in my bowl! While I didn’t detect a huge amount of pomegranate or cherry flavor, I still really enjoyed my bowl of granola nonetheless.
Would I add this to my grocery list? For sure.
Stay tuned for review on the rest of the products!

Lunch today was mostly leftovers, although I did add a few odds and ends.

I threw some spinach and romain in a bowl, and topped it with:
- Leftover bulgur salad
- Cherry tomatoes
- Avocado (for healthy fat!)
- Evoo
- Lime juice

I also added a few more spoonfuls of corn.

It was a very delicious salad, if I do say so myself :)
I was considerably hungry when I went home for lunch, so I also made a Flat Out Wrap cheese quesadilla.

I shredded fontina and pepper jack cheese and threw the wrap under the broiler for 2 minutes.

The cheese was a lot more melty when I took it out of the oven :)
I am going to munch on a gala apple in the next few minutes! If only I remembered to bring almond butter to dip it in :(
Hope y’all are having a good day!

So glad that you stumbled upon my blog and I in turn found your lovely blog! North Carolina is such a beautiful place- I’ve never been to Durham- do you live in the city?
Ahh all the goodies look great!!
And your salad looks like it’s straight from the WF bar!!
Melinda – I live just outside of Durham, about 10 minutes. It is a cute little town! I am definitely been enjoying NC!
Oh I love your bulgur, avocado, spinach and corn creation! That looks so pretty, and healthy.
I also really like the Nature’s Path cereals. I actually just bought them for the first time about 3 months ago and I think they are on my top 5 list, for sure. Great idea using the regular Greek yogurt with the higher sugar cereal, good call, I wish my clients would do that!
i love nature’s path too! and avocados make salads deliciously filling:)
I’ve tried a couple of the Natures Path products and they really impressed me :)
Yum! I have never tried nature’s path but it looks really good!
wohoo love free stuff in the mail ;)
just thought id let you know i made my favorite dish of yours tonight- sweet potato and ricotta pasta!! came out even better than the first time i made it…i cant get enough of this stuff!!
I made the sweet potato pasta tonight too! But somehow mine was better the first time :(
The Nature’s Path Pumpkin raisin crunch is a pretty good one!! Especially around this time of the year, and it’s great with yogurt messes…obviously! :)
ps- i could eat every meal that you post on here. I would looove a flat out quesadilla (dipped in lots of spicy salsa) and a delicious, avo & corn-topped salad right now!
Nature’s Path=my fave brand of granola! I really like the Pumpkin Flax, but the peanut butter is pretty rockin too.
Yay for the goodies! i always see Nature’s path in my grocery store and continplate trying it out but never pick it up, but i think i should next time! :)
