Mornin’!
At first I thought today was Tuesday, and then I realized it was Wednesday, which means tomorrow is New Year’s Eve. How did it get here so fast?!
Anyone have any fun plans?
The hubs and I are hosting a few friends for dinner and need to get crackin’ on the menu! Good thing I got two new cookbooks for Christmas :)
So not only is today the day before New Year’s Eve, it’s also What is it Wednesday!
I have a trivia question for y’all.
These popular cookie treats for children were introduced in 1902 as a Christmas novelty, and packaged so they would be hung from the Christmas trees.
What is it?

This morning I woke up with a rumbling belly and couldn’t wait to dive into breakfast.
The other weekend when I was at Bruegger’s I picked up a bag of the day old bagels and put them in the freezer. The kind of bagels vary and I’m not sure which one I got this morning. Maybe vegetable?
I went ahead and topped it with AB & J.
I used Blue Diamond almond butter and Stonewall Kitchen’s Hot Pepper Jelly (my favorite!).
I also had plain Stonyfield yogurt with cinnamon.
I can’t stomach plain yogurt without adding something. I just can’t get used to the taste.
Lastly I had a clemetine.
And I brought another one to work with me.
Hopefully this will hold me over until lunch!
For those of you who may be off from school and have a little extra time on their hands, or are in the office and are bored since this is typically a slow week, check this little video out.
I Elfed Myself! And Chris and Nylah too :) Oh boy, I hope my husband still speaks to me after this! I think it’s always good to be able to laugh at yourself, no?
Enjoy!

Animal Crackers!! I just read about that somewhere with more food trivia.
Have fun tomorrow night – loved the pics of everybody at Christmas!
xo
I have no idea about the cookies, but now I really want to know!!
elfing is so much fun! and that ab&j bagel looks so good, i love when the spreads get semi-melty.
and my guess was animal crackers too. when i was little i loved the boxes!
It’s either animal crackers or gingerbread men. I’m going with the men.
I’ve seen the “Elf Yourself” thing on FB – how funny.
I can’t eat plain yogurt plain either – I just don’t like the flavor, or lack thereof.
gingerbread men!??
haha i love elf yourself! its hilarious.
have a great day at work!
Hahahaha my mom and I spent several TEARFUL HOURS playing with elfyourself on Christmas day. I think we watched each dance about 20 times. Ahh love it!!!
I cannot cannot cannot believe tomorrow is NYE. What!?!?
I am stumped on your trivia! I’ll be interested to see the answer, that’s for sure!
I have no NYE plans and I’m excited about it! I want to stay in with my hubby!
Have you ever made candy canes? They are super fun to make!
Anyway, I am off to Berlin to shiver in the cold at my first (and only?) NYE outside celebration (the largest in the world)…
my favorite food on NYE is snack food…especially fondue or dips (try out my edamame dip!)
hahah that is great I love the elf video…they are so much fun to make arent they!?
I’m guessing Gingerbread??!
Love the Elf yourself dances – I did one to the country one and sent it to my parents…I’m not a fan of country music but thought they’d get a kick out of it…I was thinking of posting it on my Blog but not sure about showing pictures of myself though either?? i don’t know..i’m afraid someone i know may ‘find’ me and i write alot of kinda personal thoughts and stuff.
Take care girl!
gingerbread men!??! i’m guessing though…:D
