The weekend is HERE! Only six more days of work until the holidays! Wahoo!

It’s hard to believe that yesterday marked the end of Chris’s 6th term at Fuqua (they do four 6 week terms per year rather then 2 semesters).

Fuqua Friday was a special one last night. It was the Brand Challenge!

This is when teams of students design creative brand challenges that pit products head-to-head in taste and functional tests.

Here were of a few of the challenges:

Tabasco vs. Dave’s hot sauce.

Chris tried this one.

IMG_6735I declined because of my heart burn :)

There was also a Crest challenge.IMG_6737 But I was drinking beer so why would I want to taste test tooth paste??

I didn’t stick around to see the results of the Tide vs. All challenge, but I wish I did.

IMG_6732 The Glad vs. Up & Up challenge had people racing in the trash bags, like a potato sack race.

IMG_6733 Again, I had a beer in my hand so why would I want to jump around?

Because of my love for games, The one I chose to participate in was Name That Tune!

IMG_6739 There were two different brands of headphone and you had 60 seconds to guess as many songs as you could with each of the headphones. The first set was all old school songs that I guessed right away, and the second set was top 40 songs and I was awful at it! It was fun though :)

Following the Brand Challenge was Fuqua Vision!

IMG_6744The FuquaVision Club at Fuqua is a group of MBAs who poke fun at life at business school in general. They also do a lot of skits that are replica’s of SNL skits. It is hysterical and I look forward to Fuquavision at the end of every term!

IMG_6745 Check how packed the auditorium was. There clearly weren’t enough seats for everyone!

Following the show we made our way to one of our favorite pubs, Dain’s for dinner. I was starving by this point!

I dove into a grilled chicken sandwich with pepper jack cheese, gaucamole, and jalapenos.

IMG_6751 I saved the chips for later as there was a basket of tater tots (the best in the world – seriously) for the table to share.

IMG_6752 We were all happy to finally get some food in our bellies!

IMG_6754 Yum.

I managed to squeeze in my workout during lunch again yesterday. I ran on the treadmill for 30 minutes beginning at 6.5, and increased my speed by 0.1 after the song on my i-pod changed. My final speed was 7.3, and I ended up running 3.5 miles.

I didn’t have time to eat lunch at home so I brought it back to work with me. I had:

  • 1 cup of yogurt with Kashi Cinnamon Harvest scrapings (the bottom of the box)
  • A handful of kashi crackers with a side of peanut butter for dipping
  • An orange
  • A Gnu bar

This was pretty much the lunch I had on Thursday but never posted about.

Breakfast this morning was panwaffles.

IMG_6755 Gingerbread panwaffles to be exact.

IMG_6756 Made by Christopher. Thanks hon!

I topped mine with a yogurt & peanut butter mix.IMG_6760 I simply took a spoonful of peanut butter and mixed it into vanilla yogurt. Peanut buttery vanilla yogurt is delish!

I also had 1/2 a McIntosh apple.

IMG_6763I love weekend breakfasts.

 IMG_6759 Don’t you?

Now I’m off to seize the day! I have a huge list of to-do’s including Christmas shopping and soliciting donations for a charity auction that I am helping with.

Have a great Saturday y’all!

P.S. Check out my guest post on Christina’s blog about mixing it up with intervals!
